Out-of-gauge and abnormal loads
Loads beyond standard gauge and weight, with surveyed routes and abnormal-load permits.
Project Cargo & special transport
We coordinate out-of-gauge shipments and logistics projects with specialist operators and a dedicated plan. For each project we build an operating plan — route, vehicles, permits, loading and delivery — coordinated by road, sea or air with a single contact, from pickup to final destination.
Special cargo cannot be quoted from a rate card: dimensions, weight, route and loading and unloading points change from project to project. That is why the work starts before the transport, with drawings and measurements, a route study and a check of the permits, vehicles, ports and airports that can be used. Only then is the date fixed.
Project cargo belongs to Global Freight because in most cases cost and timing are optimised through planning: abnormal road transport, break bulk or out of gauge by sea, delivery to the final site. When a plant is down, the same plan switches to an air charter. Either way, the Control Tower coordinates every leg with one point of contact, from collection to closure with POD.
Dimensions and weights surveyed, route studied and vehicles chosen before the date is confirmed.
Abnormal-load permits, shipping documents and customs prepared together with the plan.
Road, port, ship or aircraft: every leg is coordinated by the Control Tower with a single contact.
Loads beyond standard gauge and weight, with surveyed routes and abnormal-load permits.
Packages that do not fit in a container, shipped as conventional cargo, planned from the port of origin to destination.
High-value shipments coordinated with specialist operators; cargo security is a support requirement defined with the customer.
Production lines, machine tools and industrial components to plants and sites.
Packages beyond standard dimensions by sea as break bulk or out of gauge, or by air on a dedicated charter.
High-value shipments for which cargo security is a support requirement, defined together with the operating plan.
Shipments that, because of size, weight, value or complexity, need a plan built around the individual project: machinery, plant, industrial components and abnormal loads.
Road, sea and air, also combined: abnormal loads by road, break bulk and out of gauge by sea, air charter when time requires it.
Yes: permits and authorisations are part of the planning and are requested before the loading date is set.
Yes: if a plant is down, the same plan can rely on an air charter. Otherwise cost and lead time are optimised on scheduled routes.
