When scheduled capacity is not enough
A charter is activated when volumes, dimensions or timing find no room on scheduled flights, or when an agreed departure to a specific airport is needed. It does not necessarily mean chartering a widebody: a turboprop for a few urgent pallets or a part-charter on a dedicated route can meet the deadline at a lower cost.
Before confirming a charter, the Control Tower always compares the alternatives — priority scheduled service, Next Flight Out, On Board Courier — and proposes the one that meets the deadline at the lowest cost. Once decided, aircraft, slots, handling, customs and road delivery are part of the same operating plan, with one point of contact.
