Sea freight is the most efficient mode when volumes are significant and the arrival date can be planned in advance: recurring supplies, flows between plants, bulky or heavy goods, where the cost per unit matters more than speed. Shipment reliability depends on the coordination of sea transport, inland connections, documentation and customs.
That is why VECTUM manages the sea together with what surrounds it. The container is collected and delivered through inland connections we coordinate, the bill of lading and import/export documents are prepared with the booking, and customs clearance is coordinated with partner customs brokers. We choose with you between FCL, LCL, project cargo or a sea-air combination, and the Control Tower follows loading, transit and arrival with a single contact.

What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
With FCL (Full Container Load) the container is reserved for your shipment; with LCL (Less than Container Load) the goods travel as groupage with other shipments, with costs and conditions defined in the quote. We propose the solution based on volumes, timing and budget.
Do you also handle pickup and delivery on land?
Yes: first and last mile are coordinated by VECTUM with our direct capacity and qualified partners, so the shipment has a single contact from departure to delivery.
Do you handle customs for sea shipments?
Yes: import/export documentation and customs clearance are coordinated together with the transport, working with partner customs brokers.
When does sea-air make sense?
When the deadline rules out the full sea route but the budget does not justify air: we combine the two modes to optimise cost and time.
